Where They Stand puts congressional candidates on your ballot—and their records beside them
A public guide to congressional races that brings together candidates’ stated priorities, campaign finances, and incumbent voting records.
- For
- U.S. voters comparing congressional candidates
- Worth noticing
- A ZIP crossing district lines shows every covered district; the poll comparison requires at least three polls per seat and is explicitly not a forecast.
Field notes
The ballot finder accepts a ZIP code or town, with a note that ZIP codes crossing district lines return all covered districts for selection; readers can also browse by state. Candidate information combines priorities quoted from campaign sites in their original order, FEC-linked money figures, and official roll-call records for incumbents. A separate closest-races panel uses averages from recent nonpartisan polls, excludes outliers, requires at least three polls per seat, and warns that polls are snapshots rather than forecasts.
