The Yard, an HBCU social front porch

Field notes

The navigation divides the experience into school pages, sports, discussion, and campus-culture sections rather than presenting one undifferentiated feed. Individual links include score archives, school comparisons, admissions deadlines, a topic-of-the-day wall, homecoming, heritage, and Greek life. The homepage also offers a “Just lookin’ around” option; the extracted page does not show whether the discussion areas have active posts.
