Powder & Pike puts a pike-and-shot battlefield in your browser
A free Spanish-language strategy game set between 1450 and 1650 lets players lead historical commanders and small units in battles against AI opponents or other players.
- For
- Players who enjoy tactical historical strategy games
- Worth noticing
- Water slows units and prevents rifle fire while crossing; high ground adds reach and visibility.
Field notes
Each side fields ten slots: the player leads one commander and three units, with bots filling the remaining places; online matches can place people in the queue while bots fill gaps. The rules give terrain and formation tactical consequences: pikes stop frontal cavalry but turn slowly, water slows troops and blocks rifle fire during a crossing, and artillery must unlimber to shoot. Battles cap at 15 minutes, with wins by rout, base capture, or having more soldiers left.
