Transcend DAW: bring your old sessions along
A Windows-and-Mac digital audio workstation that says it can import projects from FL Studio, Ableton Live, REAPER and Studio One, alongside tools for turning audio into instruments.
- For
- Musicians moving projects between major DAWs
- Worth noticing
- Its illustrative FL Studio report says unsupported FLEX notes are kept, then muted until the user chooses an instrument.
Field notes
The importer’s sample report breaks a session into “replaced,” “not imported” and “approximate” items rather than presenting compatibility as all-or-nothing. Its Nightdrive example is labeled illustrative, lists 18 tracks and 146 clips, and says an unsupported FL FLEX instrument’s notes are retained but muted until another instrument is chosen. The site says the original .flp file is never changed and saving prompts for a new destination; those safeguards matter when testing a beta on working sessions.
