Field notes
The homepage offers several routes into the directory: artist lists, country sections, genre pages, and a “listen now” option. Its category counts include 63 experimental/IDM entries and 46 ambient/chill entries. Profile notes often give a practical detail—a Kyoto beatmaker records plants and temple sounds, while a Kanagawa chiptune artist works with one Game Boy—rather than relying only on genre labels.
