Shanyue Rush: a pace-aware planner for Taiwan mountain routes
A route map and single-day ascent planner that estimates time for Taiwan’s high peaks, mid-level mountains, and trail runs using route details and a hiker’s pace.
- For
- Taiwan hikers planning single-day ascents
- Worth noticing
- Activity imports accept GPX, FIT, TCX, or ZIP files; the page says those files are processed without being uploaded.
Field notes
The planner’s baseline EP is distance in kilometres plus ascent in metres divided by 100; the site then adjusts estimates for personal pace, elevation, and route conditions. Its Oct. 27 update says 298 routes have GPX tracks, and activity imports support GPX, FIT, TCX, and ZIP files, which the page says are not uploaded. The current counter shows zero hikers and zero records, so the community-calibrated component has no reported contributions yet.
