BackAlign shifts duplex PDF pages by millimetres
A browser-local tool for measuring duplex-print offset and shifting selected PDF pages without changing their dimensions.
- For
- People correcting duplex-PDF print alignment
- Worth noticing
- The calibration sheet pairs five marks with a 50 mm ruler; a 0.5 mm four-mark variation is only a planning heuristic.
Field notes
Users can set A4, US Letter, or A3, choose portrait or landscape, and specify long- or short-edge duplexing before entering a correction. The page distinguishes measured front-view offsets from direct PDF movement, and lets users save or reopen settings as JSON. Encrypted files, interactive fields, rotated or mixed-size pages, annotations, links, forms, and signatures are among the rejected cases. The page advises keeping the original because bookmarks and archival structures are not preserved.
