Mon Galet: a stone that puts distracting apps on pause
Mon Galet sells a natural pebble with an NFC chip that works with companion phone apps to pause selected distracting apps when you tap your phone against it.
- For
- Households trying to keep phones out of shared moments
- Worth noticing
- Its comparison with Do Not Disturb emphasizes that selected apps pause while calls, messages, and alarms remain available.
Field notes
The setup instructions describe choosing which apps to pause for different moments, then using a tap on the NFC pebble to start or end each mode. The site names Foqos for iPhone and Switchly for Android, and includes a compatibility selector rather than assuming every handset works. Its comparison with Do Not Disturb says the phone remains available for calls, messages, and alarms while selected apps are paused; those are product claims presented on the page.
