TIME ZERO: One Frame at 22:00
A UC Davis photography collective’s interactive exhibition pairs a movable photo desk with a browser-based, one-frame-a-day Photo Booth.
- For
- UC Davis photography collective members and visitors
- Worth noticing
- The Photo Booth says prints stay in the current browser, and its camera opens only with permission.
Field notes
The desk interaction treats prints as movable objects: visitors can drag, flip, and peel images to uncover stories. A displayed “Zero Hour” planning study assigns five routes—light, people, trace, shadow, and wildcard—and asks each group to make one synchronized frame at 22:00, then meet 15 minutes later. The Photo Booth says it saves prints in the current browser, limits the exercise to one shot per browser, and adds five seconds for each peek during a 60-second development.
