Trace turns analytics findings into tasks for coding agents
Trace is a cookieless analytics tool that ranks usability problems, sends evidence to coding agents over MCP, and compares results after a fix.
- For
- Developers using coding agents on web products
- Worth noticing
- The Stride demo deliberately plants bugs; its displayed checkout comparison uses 14-day windows on either side of a fix.
Field notes
On the displayed Stride demo, Trace lists 878 visitors over seven days and ranks a nonworking product-photo click as affecting 436 visits; the page says its demo bugs are planted on purpose. It describes a one-script installation, MCP access for Claude Code, Cursor, or other MCP clients, and a post-release comparison using 14 days on either side. The privacy section says email, card-number, and token data are scrubbed in-browser and again server-side.
