alo-mama.fyi Visit website

Editorial interest 82/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A hackathon-built Android prototype that uses a familiar-sounding call and a spoken phrase to alert family members with the user’s location.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-31 issue.

For: People needing a discreet way to alert family
Worth noticing: The alert gesture is volume up–down–up; a home-screen widget is described for situations where speaking is impossible.

Field notes

The described alert detector combines rules with an LLM, and a home-screen widget offers a separate route to signal if the user cannot speak. After a call, the family dashboard is said to retain a case record with a transcript, recording, and PDF; the site’s demo used two phones and a live call.
