Blurt turns Mac speech into agent-ready input
A free, open-source macOS input tool combining local dictation with screenshot, OCR, and screen-recording workflows for AI agents.
- For
- Mac users feeding speech and visual context to AI agents
- Worth noticing
- The benchmark caveat says speed and accuracy were measured on an M5 Max using macOS-generated speech, not real microphone input.
Field notes
The homepage reports 0.39-second completion after a 60-second utterance, measured as the median of three runs; live-text use had a reported median of 0.64 seconds. Its Chinese and mixed-language character error rate is reported as 2.7% across 20 product-name-heavy passages, compared with 26.7% on a harder six-speaker, noisy-room set. The figures came from an M5 Max using macOS-generated speech; the page says real microphone conditions and lower-spec Macs were not tested.
