- For
- Columbia Gorge residents exploring off-grid messaging
- Worth noticing
- The guide says terrain, antenna placement, and available repeaters shape connections; listed nodes do not guarantee coverage.
Field notes
Newcomers are directed to ask about current local activity before buying a companion radio, then work through a local settings checklist and test a first message. The page separates the radio path from its online support layer: setup resources, Discord, maps, and internet-connected services still need internet. Its activity map reflects what participating observers hear, rather than a complete picture of service coverage.
