- For
- People concerned about domain-search privacy
- Worth noticing
- The 35-name cohort splits 30 searches across three registrars and five never-searched controls; none has registered so far.
Field notes
The experiment assigns five randomly generated names to each of six search conditions—search-only and search-plus-cart at Namecheap, GoDaddy, and IONOS—and keeps five names as a never-searched baseline. The page says it checks public RDAP records daily and watches each name for 90 days; results are also offered as CSV. Its first visible cohort has no registrations in any group, so it has not yet produced evidence of a difference.
