Waste Pin’s shared recovery map
A public map and route-planning tool for coordinating collection of discarded items that may be reused or resold.
- For
- Waste-recovery teams and local item reporters
- Worth noticing
- Public points can be selected into an indicative route without signing in; route planning software remains separate.
Field notes
The beta separates public discovery from account-based coordination: anyone can browse public coordinates and select stops for an indicative route, while publishing reports and managing collection progress requires sign-in. The page says it does not replace fleet-routing software; a route can be opened in Google Maps, but there are no third-party fleet connectors. Reporting currently records coordinates, while photos, descriptions, and impact calculations are unavailable or planned.
