Downpipe offers a no-sign-up web downloader for individual videos and a free, open-source desktop download manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Landing page captured for the 2026-11-02 issue.

For: People saving videos or managing downloads across devices
Worth noticing: The web downloader is limited to one video; the desktop app is described as handling playlists, pause-and-resume, and downloads over your own connection.

Field notes

The web workflow is a pasted link followed by a quality choice, with the browser saving the file. The page limits that route to public posts and one video at a time, while directing users to the desktop app for playlists, longer videos, and other downloads. It lists extensions for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox and identifies the app as version 0.5.2, released October 18, 2026.
