- For
- People trying to recover files from a damaged USB flash drive
- Worth noticing
- The site asks customers to stop repeated recovery attempts on failing drives, which it says can make matters worse.
Field notes
The workflow starts with a case number and status link, but the site tells customers to wait for shipping instructions before sending a drive. Diagnosis comes before a quote for physical, controller, or chip-level work, and customers may decline; the stated evaluation starts at $49. The site also offers up to $2 for broken drives, describing them as material for developing and testing recovery techniques.
