Embroidery conversion, down to the stitch density
Snap Digitize presents a browser-based tool for turning images into machine embroidery files or previewing, recoloring, and converting existing designs.
- For
- Embroidery-machine users converting artwork or stitch files
- Worth noticing
- The stretchy-fabric setting keeps stitch rows at least 0.35 mm apart to help reduce the risk of tearing knit fabric.
Field notes
The interface accepts PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, AI, and embroidery files such as DST and PES. Users can choose hoop dimensions, fabric behavior, thread weight, fill density, border treatment, and cleanup rules; preview controls include “As programmed” and “On fabric” views. Its guidance explains practical tradeoffs, including why dense stitching can harm stretchy knits and why larger resizing calls for re-digitizing rather than simply scaling stitches.
