KimünMap: a Chilean place-checking map with a bloodhound guide
A free map that brings together public planning, hazard, evacuation and other civic-data layers to help people check a place in Chile before buying, renting or moving.
- For
- People evaluating places in Chile
- Worth noticing
- Layers include planning-risk areas, tsunami evacuation routes, urban boundaries, socio-environmental conflicts and sites of memory.
Field notes
The interface lets visitors choose a purpose and map style, then inspect public-data layers including Minvu planning-risk areas, urban boundaries and Senapred tsunami evacuation routes. It also lists INDH-registered socio-environmental conflicts, sites of memory and selected metro and rail lines. KimünMap cautions that coverage can be missing or outdated, and says its map is an initial reference—not a certificate, valuation, alert channel or substitute for official checks.
