Padel Physics turns shot mechanics into a simulator
An interactive side-view simulator lets you adjust an incoming ball, racket contact, swing, and spin to compare estimated flight and court bounces.
- For
- Padel players exploring shot mechanics
- Worth noticing
- Off-back-glass feeds require a floor bounce before glass; outgoing traces stop at the mesh because its rebound is irregular.
Field notes
The controls distinguish the opponent’s feed from the shot being tested: moving the opponent-hit point can solve for a launch speed that reaches the selected contact, while incoming sliders reconstruct a compatible feed. The notes also define the limits of those reconstructions, including a 30 m/s contact-speed ceiling and rejection of paths that meet the net or mesh. Outgoing traces can continue through floor and glass rebounds, but mesh ends the trace.
