- Viewers of contemporary paper-based art
- Worth noticing
- The artists pass the same sheet between them; skipped machine stitches and hand hesitations are kept as part of the work.
Field notes
The studio begins with earlier paintings, studies, and fragments rather than blank sheets; materials are torn, washed, inked, painted, monotyped, and sewn by hand or machine. The artists describe passing the same sheet between them and keeping skipped stitches and hesitations instead of correcting them. The current series comprises twelve works and draws on Aristotle’s ethical thought and Rudolf Steiner’s twelve virtues; the site also proposes bringing its material research into schools and local communities.
