Vieye is a free app that uses small animal reminders to prompt 20-second distance breaks after every 20 minutes of screen work.

Landing page captured for the 2026-11-04 issue.

For: People who spend long stretches working at a computer
Worth noticing: The 52 KB Chrome add-on only shows reminders inside Chrome; the site also lists separate macOS, Windows, and Linux downloads.

Field notes

The page describes timer behavior for interruptions: leaving the computer, locking the screen, or closing the laptop resets the count when the user returns. Users can change the reminder interval from 10 to 60 minutes and the break from 20 seconds to one minute. The FAQ also discloses that the desktop app lacks a code-signing certificate and gives instructions for handling operating-system warnings.
