Will It Upgrade: Kubernetes API Checker
A browser-based checker compares pasted Kubernetes YAML or JSON manifests with API versions available in a selected target Kubernetes release.
- For
- Kubernetes operators preparing version upgrades
- Worth noticing
- Custom resources and unknown APIs are marked “Not in dataset,” explicitly distinguished from APIs the target version serves.
Field notes
The checker compares each object's apiVersion and kind against a dataset the page says is built from the official Deprecated API Migration Guide and Kubernetes source lifecycle data. Its example follows an Ingress migration from extensions/v1beta1 to networking.k8s.io/v1, including changes to the backend fields and the addition of pathType. For live-cluster requests, the page points to API-server metrics and audit logs, noting that pasted manifests cannot show that traffic.
