A practical guide to downloading AO3 bookmarks as full works or exporting public bookmarks as a link list or CSV.

Landing page captured for the 2026-11-05 issue.

For: AO3 readers backing up public bookmarks
Worth noticing: The export offers plain-text links, CSV, or a reading-list preview; private bookmarks are excluded.

Field notes

Readers choose among full-work downloads, portable link lists, or CSV output, with separate project links for each route. The guide distinguishes a public-bookmark export from a draft local userscript for history or private bookmarks, which it says keeps data in the browser. It also warns that both its export and the download tools depend on AO3 being online.
