Kortalo turns stock lengths into a cutting plan
Kortalo is an Android app for planning cuts across boards, battens, mouldings and tubes, with a shopping list and workshop instructions. The site says it is still being tested and is not yet available on Google Play.
- For
- DIYers and workshop users cutting stock to size
- Worth noticing
- Its planning options include either buying the fewest bars or minimizing purchase cost when available lengths have prices.
Field notes
The page describes entering desired pieces and available stock lengths, then choosing between fewer bars to buy and lower purchase cost. Its workshop mode presents cuts in order, supports spoken instructions, and lets users check off completed pieces. The site says projects stay on the phone and that offcut inventory can carry between projects with Pro; the public Google Play listing is still pending.
