Field notes
Room 404 follows Layla Aziz, a night desk worker at the Ashgrove Hotel trying to pay off her family’s debts. Its recurring anomaly is operational as well as supernatural: the booking system keeps checking guests into Room 404, while the elevator returns without them. NightFrame says episodes include a catch-up line for mid-series viewers; its YouTube format also includes a longer cut with an added scene.
