- For
- WhatsApp groups making annual recap stories
- Worth noticing
- WhatsApp exports are capped at about 40,000 messages; the page says very active groups may see only part of the year.
Field notes
The page explains how to export a chat without media on both iPhone and Android, then select the file for analysis. It says one-to-one chats are supported, but the awards work best with three or more people. The site also notes that very busy groups may receive a partial-year recap because WhatsApp limits export size; it says the recap will indicate when that happens.
