A house-plan cost estimator, with its error bars out front
Yak Mee Baan estimates house-construction costs from plan images or dimensions, then breaks the estimate into price ranges and work categories.
- For
- People budgeting a Thai house from plans or photos
- Worth noticing
- The interface predicts ±30%, ±15%, or ±10% accuracy based on the quantity and kinds of images supplied.
Field notes
The interface separates image reading from the later cost calculation: users can inspect and edit detected dimensions before choosing assumptions. It offers different ways to handle multiple floors, including treating each floor like the ground floor, following the plans, or specifying floors individually. The site presents its accuracy figures as predictions based on the supplied images, not verified results, and warns that the estimate is unsuitable for contracts or bank submissions.
