cpmm keeps Cyberpunk mods out of the game folder
An open-source Linux and Steam Deck manager for Cyberpunk 2077 mods, built around layered installs that leave the game directory untouched.
- For
- Cyberpunk 2077 modders on Linux and Steam Deck
- Worth noticing
- It reports checking Nexus downloads against SHA-256 manifests and can surface conflicts in loose files, archive resources, and redscript replacements.
Field notes
The manager stages each mod separately, then uses overlayfs in a private namespace when the game launches through Steam; runtime writes go to an overwrite layer, and the mount disappears when the game exits. Its feature list covers Nexus downloads and Collections, dependency-aware sorting, conflict inspection across loose files and archive resources, profiles, rollback, and crash triage. The page says downloads are checked against Nexus SHA-256 manifests and that Windows and macOS support is still coming.
