Gloss anchors lecture notes to slides and audio
Gloss records lectures, transcribes speech, and places explanations and examples on the relevant PDF slides, with notes linked to the moment they were spoken.
- For
- Students reviewing slide-based lectures
- Worth noticing
- Transcription and recordings stay on-device; transcript and slide material go to the chosen AI provider only when AI features are used.
Field notes
Page changes are timestamped against the recording, and tapping a note jumps to its corresponding audio; the page says later discussion can be attached back to an earlier slide. Speech recognition runs on-device, while recordings are stored on the device and the user's iCloud. When creating AI notes or asking questions, Gloss sends transcript and slide text or images directly to the connected provider. AI is optional; the site says recording and transcription still work without it.
