SymbraiX: a scientific scratchpad for macOS
SymbraiX presents a macOS workspace for numerical and symbolic math, plotting, units, uncertainty, and tensor calculations.
- For
- macOS users doing scientific and engineering calculations
- Worth noticing
- The site labels its interface illustration as conceptual rather than a current application screenshot.
Field notes
The worksheet is described as keeping calculation steps visible while handling numerical operations, with saved position and keyboard history among the listed interface features. The page distinguishes tensor operations with index attributes from ordinary component arrays, and describes uncertainty handling in terms of covariance and correlation. These are claims about the product on its site; the beta status means the extract does not verify which capabilities are currently accessible.
