屏方 is a Mac utility that uses a supported older iMac as an external display for a newer Mac, connected by a Thunderbolt cable.

Landing page captured for the 2026-11-08 issue.

For: Mac owners with a supported older iMac
Worth noticing: The page explicitly excludes Intel Macs as senders and notes that 21.5- and 24-inch iMacs cannot reach 5K.

Field notes

The installer is described as containing both the sending app and the iMac receiver, with an included readme for installation. The compatibility guide distinguishes Thunderbolt 2 and Thunderbolt 3 connections, warns against USB-C charging cables, and notes that 21.5- and 24-inch iMacs use their highest available display mode rather than 5K. The page says activation is offline after setup, while reinstalling the system requires an internet connection to restore it.
