- For
- Minnesota residents navigating local rules and costs
- Worth noticing
- The ice guide distinguishes new, clear ice from white ice, doubling the DNR minimums for the latter.
Field notes
The vehicle calculator presents an example of $870 more in state charges over five years for a $40,000 electric vehicle than a gas vehicle in Hennepin County, while noting that individual inputs change the result. The ice-out explorer draws on 77 years of records across 65 lakes. The homepage also says its dated almanac entries drop off when they expire, keeping time-sensitive notices from lingering as current guidance.
