Waiting for Lightning documents a durational Minecraft artwork inspired by Walter De Maria’s The Lightning Field.

Why it surfaced

The project plans a 25 × 16 field of 400 copper lightning rods, but its telemetry currently records 000 placed and 400 remaining. With a live installation, an essay, and a deliberately offline field, the site turns preparation and waiting into the artwork itself.
