Gabriel Stebbing’s one-person bedroom-pop project, recorded and produced in a seaside studio in Margate.

Why it surfaced

Stebbing describes Songs for Days as his childhood dream of becoming a one-man band, realised through eleven songs shaped by Harry Nilsson, Paul McCartney and João Gilberto. The page gives the project a tangible setting, a real biography and an unvarnished closing note: “Mostly, though, he's an exhausted dad.”

Thirty Patents for the Grave

August 13’s newborn domains include 30 safety-coffin patents, lost notices for false teeth and a box of hair, short films playing in 100 Tokyo taxis, and a Queensland river view arranged gauge by gauge downstream.
