Why it surfaced

Its central mechanic is an excellent contradiction: players fight to remain in bed while an authoritarian “Orange Fella” tries to force them into work. The project also presents itself as a digital commons, with public governance, offline play, no ads or tracking, and openly shared code and cultural materials.
