An interactive scholarly archive of the Arabian Peninsula and Persia, built from 33 volumes spanning 1622–1810.

Why it surfaced

The site turns a sealed historical corpus into a public instrument: 3,985 records, 2,654 linked entities, 445 places, and 3,921 extracted events can be explored through maps, full-text search, timelines, and correspondence networks. It is an unusually specific and ambitious piece of archival infrastructure, presented with unusually clear caveats about what the extraction pipeline can and cannot know.

The 240-Material Organ

August 16’s newborn domains include a 240-material perfume organ, a repeatedly saved JPEG cat, a ski tracker designed by a 15-year-old, and a searchable page claiming to contain 148,303 prescription records.

This is one of 1,000 discoveries in the 2026-08-16 Domain Arrivals issue.
