The Veterinary Domain That Became “My Site”

southsalemvet.com currently presents a Pligg-powered social-news homepage filled with unrelated articles about streaming, Belize real estate, electricians, jerk chicken, and VPNs.

The veterinary-sounding domain offers no visible veterinary material; instead, every listed article appears under the account “shauna_007” and carries a random-looking suffix such as “j6m3d1r4.” It is a compact specimen of a domain whose apparent purpose and current contents have sharply parted ways.

The Ski Nihon Domain That Opens Al Jazeera

skinihon.com redirects visitors to Al Jazeera’s homepage, a major international news site.

The domain reads like a Japanese ski destination, but its homepage is an unrelated Al Jazeera news front page. It is a small, conspicuous specimen of domain-routing weirdness: possibly purposeful, possibly accidental, and impossible to explain from the landing page alone.
