The New York International Student Association publishes a campus- and country-level count of 71,296 international students across 87 New York City campuses.

Why it surfaced

This is a rare public dataset with a clear human purpose: making the city's overlooked international-student population legible, including 197 countries that rarely appear in published rankings. NYISA says its figures come from federal IPEDS and SEVIS data, and it pairs the numbers with a directory of H-1B sponsors and an invitation for students to join.

The Plotter’s 09:30 Shift

August 18’s newborn domains include an obsolete pen plotter clocking in at 09:30, emergency warnings designed for sight, touch, or hearing, a funeral-folder tool calibrated for printer drift, and photographs of Colombian rental signs turned into a housing map.
