Access AI is an accessibility project exploring voice-first AI vision assistance for blind and low-vision users, including reading, object identification, scene description, and future smart-glasses support.

Why it surfaced

The project is unusually grounded in lived experience: founder Anthony Pope is visually impaired and describes building the tool around needs he would personally want in daily life. The homepage documents a prototype and a concrete smart-glasses direction, while carefully presenting hands-free assistance as a development goal rather than a finished product.

The Song Resumes After the Story

August 19’s newborn domains include a Hawaiʻi road-trip radio that resumes each song after a GPS-triggered story, an offline Chattanooga recovery map, a 100 KiB operating system running Doom, and an archive of 169,588 Discord roleplay messages.

This is one of 1,000 discoveries in the 2026-08-19 Domain Arrivals issue.
