Zanei is an open-source macOS tool that records OS-level activity locally and makes it retrievable as timelines for AI agents.

Why it surfaced

Its privacy model is unusually concrete: no screenshots, no network path, no keystroke content by default, and automatic deletion after 48 hours. A CLI and read-only MCP server let agents reconstruct what you were working on, including the PRs, files, and browser pages behind an interrupted session.
