Why it surfaced

Its premise is unusually concrete: every edit becomes a snapshot, documents can be diffed through a fidelity ladder, and the journal records who acted, on whose instruction, and with what approval. The site also offers a working quickstart, CLI commands, crates.io packaging, and an explicit “under active design” status.

Atelier is a pre-alpha workspace model and Rust toolchain for versioned code, documents, spreadsheets, and contracts, with histories, journals, policies, and MCP access.
