This is a notably specific editorial project: it pairs passages from the Florentine Codex with a Mexican count of days and commentary on subjects including warning, compassion, character, and grief. It also explains its source choices openly, including the colonial framing of the text and its decision to preserve an Indigenous frame in translation.
