Bechat puts its privacy mechanism plainly on the page: messages are encrypted in the browser, held as short-lived ciphertext, then removed from the delivery queue after the receiving device retrieves them. It also deliberately omits feeds, payments, and other social-platform machinery, framing chat as communication rather than a content destination.
