Why it surfaced

The site says it has researched more than 7,500 college athletes from 125+ independent sources, then compares a player’s stats by position and level. Its careful insistence that a hand-timed 40-yard dash is not the same measurement as an electronic one gives this otherwise familiar comparison tool an unusually concrete standard of evidence.
