Fawn Lodge, a Century on the Corner
A preservation site documenting Fawn Lodge, a 1925 landmark in Fawnskin, California, through its changing occupants, photographs, and local history.
Why it surfaced
The site turns one building into a compact history of Big Bear life: tea room, Prohibition dance hall, drugstore, library, restaurant, and the House of Wilson. Its fixed point is a massive native-stone fireplace, still standing after a century and now at the center of an effort to keep the lodge standing for another one.
