Why it surfaced

The studio promises to preserve each child’s original manuscript, asking questions instead of rewriting it, while letting the young author direct the illustrations. Its first featured author, 11-year-old Shira Drori, is presented with a finished book and a six-question editorial process that keeps the decisions in her hands.
