Why it surfaced

Noricho maps 128 metropolitan-area routes, 1,612 stations, and 2,014 track segments, filling a line card as its segments are actually ridden. It is unusually explicit about what it will not do—no timetables or route planning—and says background GPS is used only to verify rides and station visits.

A forthcoming iOS app that turns train rides into a collection of routes, station stamps, line cards, and—on selected lines—rolling-stock records.
