Soundscapes, a Festival Built Around the Tide

Why it surfaced

Soundscapes gives its festival an unusually complete mythology: five beings guide the music, wellness, workshops, hospitality, and cuisine, while two hand-built sound systems anchor the week. The site also makes concrete promises—no sponsors, no cameras on the floor, no tracking—and invites a small circle of participants to join via a poetic waitlist.

An independent five-day music festival on Zanzibar, scheduled for 21–25 January 2027, with long sets, sunrise swims, workshops, shared food, and a participant-built program.
