The diagnostic flow begins either with a sound—such as a steady high-pitched whine, rhythmic mechanical rattle, or mains-pitched hum—or with a device such as a PS5, Xbox Series X, laptop, or MacBook. Its microphone checks capture five seconds and report peak, clipping, noise floor, and sample rate. The site explicitly limits its claims: levels are relative rather than calibrated, and results are phrased as consistency with a pattern rather than certainty.
